Solitude

I love visiting museums on my own. I can get lost in my thoughts, stand in front of a single statue for half an hour, speed past other artifacts without a single glance. While at the British Museum today, I lingered most of the time in the Ancient Iran exhibition and near the replica of the Rosetta Stone. (You can get right up and touch the replica without wading through the crowd around the real thing, although I certainly stood in front of that, too.)

I captured this shot during a brief stop in the Greek section of the museum. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Icon Dance was performing sporadically throughout the museum, and I caught this solitary dancer there.
